Come see a hilarious comedy at Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theatre!

Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theatre is Nashville's most unique dining and entertainment experience - now in its 44th season serving the Nashville area with a premium professional theatre.

Your Chaffin's Barn experience begins the moment you enter the rustic barn doors and take a look around the inviting lobby. One of the friendly hosts will show you and your party into the dining room and take you to the table especially reserved for you. You know you're in for a relaxing, satisfying, enjoyable evening of food, fun and entertainment.

Once you're seated, one of the server/performers will take your beverage order. There's a variety of free soft drinks and a full service bar if you would like a glass of wine or a cocktail with dinner. Next, you'll help yourself to a garden fresh salad bar and Chaffin's sumptuous country-style buffet featuring numerous mouth-watering entrees and specially prepared side dishes. It's "all-you-care-to-eat," but be sure to save room for delicious desserts - all prepared fresh daily!

After dinner, the real "magic" begins. The lights dim and the stage descends from the ceiling to the center of the theatre, giving every audience member an excellent view of the action.

For the next two hours or so you'll be transported to another place and time by a talented cast of professional actors!

January 7 - February 6

In this hilarious Neil Simon farce, four couples attend the wedding anniversary of the Deputy Mayor of New York. His lawyer is first to arrive and finds the host bleeding from a self-inflicted flesh wound, and the hostess missing. Trying to cover up any hint of scandal, the lawyer finds it progressively more difficult to sustain his story as other guests arrive, and he can't remember who's been told what about whom! A fast-paced, pressure-cooker comedy!

Blithe Spirit
February 11 - March 13

The smash comedy hit of the London and Broedway stages offers up the story of fussy, cantankerous novelist Charles Condomine. Widower Charles is remarried to Ruth, but haunted (literally) by the ghost of his first wife, the clever and insistent Elvira who is summoned from the spirit world by a visiting "happy medium" Madame Arcati. This Noel Coward classic is as light and frothy as meringue!

Frankly, My Dear
March 18 - April 24

Hilarious, irreverent, and mostly true! It is 1939 and David O. Selznick has already begun filming "Gone With The Wind" but needs a new script. There is only one writer up to the task: the legendary Ben Hecht. The only problem, Hecht has never read the book and they have only a"?The Wizard of Oz") in his office to get the job done. If laughter feeds the soul, the antics which produce one of the classic movies of all time will ensure you'll "never go hungry again!"

The Butler Done It
April 29 - June 5

An inept private detective whose car breaks down on a lonely stretch of country road late at night in a rain storm seeks shelter in a secluded country mansion. He is greeted at the door by a beautiful, yet somehow strange, young woman and an equally strange butler. Soon enough, the butler is mysteriously stabbed to death and is found lying in the middle of the floor. Come enjoy a hilarious romp through this 1940s style spoof of the Bob Hope era of comic mysteries. You'll love this "heapin' helpin'" of whodunit!

Funny Money
June 10 - July 17

This hilarious farce is from the author of "Run For Your Wife" and "There Goes The Bride." When mild mannered accountant Henry Perkins finds a briefcase full of money, he thinks his troubles are finally over. In fact, they've just begun! He and his confused wife are leaving for Barcelona when a police detective arrives, falsely accusing Henry of soliciting in the men's room of a local pub. Another detective arrives thinking Henry is dead, since a murdered man and Henry's briefcase were found in the river. Henry's inept attempts to extricate himself lead to increasingly hysterical situations as he gets himself "out of the frying pan and into the fire!"

In this latest installment of the "Smoke on the Mountain" trilogy, it's October 1945. The war is over and America's years of prosperity are just beginning. But there's another kind of right of passage at the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, where the Reverend Mervin Oglethorpe is giving his last service. Squabbles
October 14 - November 13

Jerry Sloan is a successful writer of commercial jingles married to an equally successful lawyer. Living with the happy couple is Jerry's not-so-happy father-in-law, Abe. When Jerry's mother Mildred is also forced to move in, the fur flies between Abe and Mildred in a succession of hilarious confrontations. "Squabbles" is the perfect blend of "salty" and "sweet!"
