"The Heart of Tennessee - A Musical Journey"
The evening cruise boasts the full feel of the South with mouthwatering favorites, a breathtaking view of downtown Nashville and the Heart of Tennessee – A Musical Journey, which takes you down Tennessee’s Musical Highway, from bluegrass to soul, a little gospel and, of course, country music! Covering classic Elvis to the new artists of country music, the cast of seven is backed by a live talented six-piece band, culminating with a performance at the end of the show dedicated to the men and women who proudly serve our country as first-responders and members of the military.
Whether you're looking for romance, dancing, or just an evening of festive musical entertainment, evening cruises on the General Jackson Showboat offer something for everyone. Styled in the grand tradition of the paddlewheel riverboats that cruised the great Southern waterways in the 1800s, the General Jackson was named after the first steamboat to operate on the Cumberland River in 1817. Today, it's just as active as its predecessor.
