Come see a hilarious comedy at Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theatre!

Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theatre is Nashville's most unique dining and entertainment experience - now in its 43rd season serving the Nashville area with a premium professional theatre.

Your Chaffin's Barn experience begins the moment you enter the rustic barn doors and take a look around the inviting lobby. One of the friendly hosts will show you and your party into the dining room and take you to the table especially reserved for you. You know you're in for a relaxing, satisfying, enjoyable evening of food, fun and entertainment.

Once you're seated, one of the server/performers will take your beverage order. There's a variety of free soft drinks and a full service bar if you would like a glass of wine or a cocktail with dinner. Next, you'll help yourself to a garden fresh salad bar and Chaffin's sumptuous country-style buffet featuring numerous mouth-watering entrees and specially prepared side dishes. It's "all-you-care-to-eat," but be sure to save room for delicious desserts - all prepared fresh daily!

After dinner, the real "magic" begins. The lights dim and the stage descends from the ceiling to the center of the theatre, giving every audience member an excellent view of the action.

For the next two hours or so you'll be transported to another place and time by a talented cast of professional actors!

Don't Dress for Dinner
January 8 - February 7

Bernard is planning a weekend with his mistress. He has hired a gourmet cook, is packing his wife Jacqueline off to her mother's, and has invited his best friend, Robert, to provide an alibi. What could possibly go wrong? Suppose Robert doesn't know why he has been invited? Suppose Robert and Jacqueline are secret lovers? What happens if the cook is mistaken for the mistress and the mistress can't cook? Mix these ingredients and you have the recipe for an evening of hilarious confusion...where nothing can go right! If you liked Boeing Boeing, you'll LOVE seeing the same characters weave another web of lies resulting in mistaken identities, slapstick and madcap mayhem!

February 12 - March 14

This classic romantic comedy set in the 1960s tells the story of conservative young lawyer Paul Bratter and his free-spirited newlywed bride, Corie. The comedy follows the young couple as they move from the giddy joy of a six day honeymoon at The Plaza, into the crazy reality of starting married life in a fifth-floor walkup in New York City. Of course it doesn't help that the apartment is absolutely bare of furniture, the skylight leaks and there isn't room for a double bed. A fantastic night of Neil Simon comedy for every one!

Winner Lose All
March 19 - April 25

Deceit, treachery, scandal, and, yes, even lies! These all seem to go along with the best of politics. But, get enough of all the above, and it could even lead to worse consequences! What lengths will some politicians go to when their careers are threatened by the lies and scandals from their past. Add in a suspicious wife, a pretty mistress, an overly protective campaign manager, and, of course, a political adversary who will go to any lengths to win, and you have a perfect formula for ? murder!

Second Time Around
April 30 - June 6

Two widowed seniors find romance in their golden years, but when they decide to introduce each other to their adult children, they are met with a wall of resistance and disapproval. Although the children's own marriages are anything but perfect, they don't hesitate to give relationship advice to their parents! Funny, fast-paced, and full of wit - this endearing comedy appeals to all ages.

Seeing Stars in Dixie
June 11 - July 18

It's 1956 and Hollywood has arrived in Natchez, Mississippi with its brightest stars, Elizabeth Taylor and Montgomery Clift, to film Raintree County. Meanwhile, at Clemmie's - a Natchez tea room - the proprietor who has a fascination with movies and a secret admirer, oversees her own cast of the town's most colorful characters. Competition for a small role in the movie brings out the best and worst of these memorable characters. Twists, turns and revelations lead Clemmie to trade a moment of fame for love and the chance to impact the lives of people she holds dear.

There Goes the Bride
July 23 - August 29

From the clever playwright who brought you Run for Your Wife comes this equally hilarious, side-splitting comedy! When stressed advertising executive Timothy Westerby hits his head the morning of his daughter's big society wedding, he awakes to find himself in the company of Polly Perkins, a 1920s Flapper girl straight out of his current advertising campaign. It soon becomes all too clear that no one else can see or hear her, and when another bump on the head transports Timothy back to 1926, the wedding preparations fall to pieces. Chaos follows as friends and family try to lead Timothy back to reality before the in-laws abandon the wedding.

Filthy Rich
September 3 - October 10

Larry and Frederick are two down-on-their-luck New York City grifters looking for a big payday. When they hear that a rich Russian widow living in a mansion in East Hampton is trying to marry off her debutante daughter, the cons go up there to pose as suitors and relieve the ladies of their fortune. They arrive to find a decrepit mansion, a half-blind old woman who truly believes she is Anastasia Romanov of the Russian Royal Family and a debutante daughter about twenty years past her prime. A bag of Romanov rubies keeps the swindlers focused, and pretty soon finds them competing for the debutante's attention as well as the loot. A bright farce full of crosses, double-crosses, false identities and fakery; Filthy Rich is hilarious lunatic fun.

See How They Run
October 15 - November 14

This hilarious, slapstick 1940s farce takes place in a quaint English vicarage. The vicar's wife is a former actress and with a setup like that - vicar plus stage diva - can equal nothing BUT a mass of hi-jinks! Add to this four men dressed like priests (two who are imposters), the vicar's wife pretending to be married to one who's not her real husband, a bishop dressed in his pajamas, a nosy neighbor in the coat closet and a silent maid - who are ALL being interrogated by a British army sergeant looking for an escaped POW! It's a classic case of mistaken identity as rumors and cassocks start to fly and the laughter takes off!
